ROME, Nov 11 (PRIME) -- French cosmetics and perfumery company L'Oreal, the owner of Giorgio Armani Beauty, Lancome, Kerastase and Redken brands, has declined its readiness to resume supplies to Russia, as seen by PRIME in the company’s communique late on Thursday.
“As to the incorrect information circulating in Russia’s mass media that Giorgio Armani Beauty will again be imported to Russia, L'Oreal again says that its position has not changed. L'Oreal strictly complies with the E.U. and the U.S. sanctions,” the statement read.
“L'Oreal has suspended sales of most of its own brands and sells only main goods for everyday use.”
Earlier this week, Russia’s Industry and Trade Ministry banned parallel imports of products of cosmetic brands Lancome, Redken, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Giorgio Armani, and Kerastase, because the brands were ready to resume direct deliveries to Russia, according to its information.
